Soi Dog Foundation aims to reduce the number of stray dogs and cats in Phuket through a programme of sterilisation. The foundation also works to improve the situation of the many unwanted cats and dogs in Phuket and operate an animal shelter and re-homing centre in Mai Khao in Phuket. It is a non-profit charitable organisation and volunteers are always welcome. Adoption and sponsorship of both dogs and cats is available.
PAWS Foundation is a licenced foundation with fixed and mobile clinics that sterilise and care for stray dogs and cats in Phuket, Phang Nga and some of the islands off Phuket. It also provides a full service veterinary clinic, boarding kennels, cattery and walking service for household pets.
Lanta Animal Welfare aims to reduce the population of stray dogs on Koh Lanta by humane sterilisation. It also provides help to sick and injured animals and pets. Clinic and boarding facility for pets.
The Gibbon Rehabilitation Project is a research division of the Wild Animal Rescue Foundation of Thailand and works to reintroduce gibbons into the wild. It also runs a conservation education programme and a mobile animal clinic to rescue and provide treatment for wild animals. The rehabilitation site and the Centre for Conservation Education and Fund-Raising are located in the Khao Pra Theaw non-hunting area at the Bang Pae Waterfall, Phuket.
